"LIFE LIFE"

"Life is like a box of Chocolates, You never know what you're gonna get"-Forrest Gump

As a child, I remember the adults in my life always telling me that I will understand when I get older. This was usually said when I did not understand why I could not get the latest fashion trends or video games like the people in my class. This was said to me as a teenager when I wanted to do everything and go everywhere. So at the ripe old age of thirty two, I now know that life tends to get complicated, so much so that one is not able to find the words to describe it; Hence "You'll understand when you older".

Well although I am not finished growing through life, I understand how one person's decisions can affect many, I understand that bills keep coming, I understand the Politics of Politics, I understand that people are not always reliable, I understand that my fairytale life is just that…… a fairytale, and most of all I understand that Life is much harder without Strength and a blessed assurance from God.

Forest’s momma was right; you never know what you are going to get with life. There are the candies in the box of life that no one ever wants and then there are the ones we savor.  Romans 8:28 tells us that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. EVERYTHING is the key; it is inclusive of the good and the bad. Life is indeed interesting, but when you begin to view this life and its variety of difficulties and triumphs, as a blessing to grow from and not just as a burden only then will you truly live.

Parent's Just Don't Understand

Okay, so due to unforeseen events, I was thrust into parenthood for a few weeks. HA... that's right, no kids and me in my one bedroom apartment to buying lunch items and checking on homework assignments in the matter of a day.  I NOW understand why so many single parents remain single and I REALLY don't understand Nadya Suleman's obsession with kids. Thankfully my niece, BREEZY, is a cool and easy to please teenager...but oh my goodness I want to take this time to stand and start the slow dramatic clap in honor of parents everywhere! I tip my hat!

"This is It"

Life is a journey, Not a destination, There are no mistakes, Just chances we’ve taken Lay down your regrets cause all we have is now~ India Arie

Okay so yes! Beautiful Day is my Daily inspiration Song and I have decided to finally take the song's lyrics and apply them to my life....so here goes!

I'm Belinda; 30, college educated, single, witty, ~~like long walks on the beach and romantic dinners....(Oh wait This is not a--- Sorry about that) back to the task at hand. On this new Day in this New Year (2011) I have made the big decision that (DRUM ROLL PLEASE), I am going to live. After watching the Movie, Eat, Pray, Love and then waking up after it was over I agreed that the idea of setting goals and taking steps to reach them AND sharing the steps with others is something I could get into.

Therefore, I will spend the next year sharing my thoughts on the twelve list. I'm not into the Whole New Year’s Resolutions dig; however, I do like the ideas and making a list of 12 new experiences to try during the 2011 year. When my list is actually complete, I shall post that little booger and ask you help me check off my list! Well number one was to start a blog about it...so Check :)
